Village Pointe Farmers Market is a true West Omaha Farmers Market located at 168th and Dodge.
It was established to meet two simple and important ideals:
1. To elevate community awareness of the importance of sustainable, local, family-owned farms
and the wholesome food that comes from them and its importance to our health.
2. And to provide that wholesome food to the community at a location in West Omaha.

Did you know?
Farmers Market prices are lower than store-bought.
Two recent surveys, one from Seattle University and one from the New Jersey Department of Agriculture,
confirmed what many already knew: across the board, food prices are lower at a farmers market.
Added value in Farmers Market food and hidden costs in conventional:
In addition to being generally lower in price, local produce is considered more nutritious:
the vitamins, minerals, nutrients and antioxidants aren’t left in the trucks, planes, trains or loading docks involved in shipping 1500 miles.
Yes, in some cases items may appear costlier, perhaps in the case of eggs or meats, but compared to store-bought counterparts (organic, free range, etc.) they really aren’t. Plus there are hidden health costs when you consider that processed foods are not always the best for you.
Shop local, shop farmers markets for dollar and health value.
Meet some of the farmers!

For new vendors interested in coming to Market, here are some reasons our current vendors say are important to them:
Location: West Omaha deserves a farmers market and has demonstrated that it will support one.
Low cost: 100% of the vendor fee (around $200 for the season) goes directly to promote the market.
Purpose: The VPFM is for farmers and consumers. It's not a marketing event to promote a business.
Each Saturday, 35,000 automobiles enter Village Pointe through the road the Market is on.
Village Pointe Shopping Center and the VPFM sponsors have committed ample support to promote the Market.
• It's easy and convenient to access and load in; plenty of space and not cramped.
PLUS - we have fun!
Locally grown foods are fresher, more nutritious and you learn about the food you buy from the person who produced it.
When you shop at a real Farmers Market, you are getting the best food you can for your table.
