Village Pointe Farmers Market is a true West Omaha Farmers Market located at 168th and Dodge.
It was established to meet two simple and important ideals:
1. To elevate community awareness of the importance of sustainable, local, family-owned farms
and the wholesome food that comes from them and its importance to our health.
2. And to provide that wholesome food to the community at a location in West Omaha.
If you are a local grower of fresh produce of any kind or produce meats, eggs, honey or bedding plants, consider joining us at Village Pointe Farmers Market.
No Arts & Crafts, cooked or processed foods, please.

VILLAGE POINTE® FARMERS MARKET • 2012 VENDOR & MARKET GUIDELINES
EXHIBIT A
Village Pointe Farmers Market operates on the concept of Direct-to-Consumer Marketing. Our mission is to provide a convenient venue for local, “family-farm” growers and producers to sell directly to the consumer, to reconnect producer and consumer and to reestablish the value of real food.
We encourage growers to provide products free of harmful pesticides or chemicals; to be responsible stewards of the land and the environment. Participating vendors who advertise their product as organic, must be certified organic by a recognized certification agency and must display their certificate. It is each Vendor’s responsibility to know and comply with Douglas County Health Department, City of Omaha, State of Nebraska and federal requirements on all items sold at the Village Pointe Farmers Market.
Product Guidelines
Designated items may include farm fresh, family-raised produce, meat and poultry products. Sale of flea market-type items, craft-type items, prepared foods, home-baked items and canned goods is excluded. Special event days have special criteria. Management reserves the right to deem any item(s) not acceptable to be sold at the Market. Absolutely no third party-sourced goods. In case of any question as to suitability of an item, confer with Management.
Vendor is required to establish fair and equitable pricing standards that reflect the quality of the product and the nature of our Market and our Mission. No price gouging or price undercutting is allowed. Refer questions on pricing policies to Management for clarification.
Prices must be displayed for all items.
Vendors offering tasting samples must know and comply with all Douglas County health regulations. Samples will be handled properly (i.e., on a covered tray, served with toothpicks or using other appropriate and sanitary serving techniques). Vendors must provide a waste container(s) if sampling items.
Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting any required sales tax on items sold at the Market.
The Market reserves the right to limit vendors with certain products until an appropriate space is available.
In case of any question as to suitability of an item, confer with Management.

Vendor Stalls and Presentation
1. Vendor stall locations will be confirmed prior to setup each market day by onsite management. Stall locations are not guaranteed. While advantageous for both Vendor and Market to maintain consistent stall location during the year, some variation will occur as a result of absences or changes in seasonal items.
2. Village Pointe Farmers Market supports the ideal of renewing the connection between grower and consumer. For that reason, the person selling at the market must be the grower, a member of the family or a full-time employee of the farm. In exceptional cases, another employee may sell if that employee is fully informed of the products’ growing methods. Management must be informed daily if stall is staffed by anyone other than those listed on Contract. First-time vendors are accepted on a provisional basis and will be evaluated after a seven-week period.
3. All vendors must be 18 years of age or older.
4. For health and safety reasons, Vendors may not bring pets to the Market.
5. Children are welcome at Market. If they become disruptive to the Market’s vendors and/or customers, Vendors may be asked not to bring children to Market.
6. Vendors must wear appropriate attire and footwear at all times.
7. All products and signs must stay within each vendor’s assigned stall.
8. Village Pointe provides space only. Vendors must supply tables, awning/umbrella (EZ-Up), ballast to secure the awning/umbrella from wind and permanent signage (minimum 24” by 12”) identifying vendor and providing contact information.
9. Village Pointe Farmers Market is a smoke-free area.
